At the end of a dead-end road you will find Château Mondou, a romantic country house dating from the 12th/13th century, lying on a hill with a spectacular 360-degree view. This gives a tremendous sense of space. The house has the feel of an uncomplicated, authentic and very familiar and intimate chateau. This is where you want to be.
The whole has a casual and Mediterranean atmosphere. Behind the barn, you can see in the distance the ruins of the pigeonnier, home to bats, kestrels and owls. Above the front door in the small tower lives our white barn owl, a so-called "dame blanche."
There are three different cottages, for four, six and eight people, all arranged and designed in their own way, uncomplicated and sturdy.
The 11 x 5 meter pool is spacious enough for several families. You can sit in the shade of the large lime tree with a book or just muse a bit.
In our large barn is the large table tennis table waiting for the upcoming competition. In the garden there are some playground equipment for the little ones such as a swing, slide and sandbox.
The courtyard is also equipped with a long table, chairs and a BBQ. There you will also find our Torsten, a large wood stove/fireplace.
Here you can spend a cosy evening with the family or several families enjoying the setting sun and a crackling fire when evening has fallen.
A well-functioning Internet is indispensable, even in the French countryside. Since 2022 we have had the superfast Starlink system. A satellite dish ensures that even 20 people can access the internet at the same time, in all the gîtes.
